About Us
A few words ...
“Over the years, the trade union movement has played a very important role. Across the globe, they have not only been instrumental in preventing exploitation of the employees but have also brought dignity to all.
Not only this, the unions also play a very important role in bringing equity and social justice into the system and preventing managements from inflicting exploitative practices, not only on the employees but also on the society at large.”
M George Ravi Shekeran
General Secretary, OOA
2018 – PRESENT
Mission
The main concept of a trade union is to protect the workers right in its workplace and to provide a proper democratic platform to the common workers in front of the powerful employer to protect their socio-economic concerns.
Moreover, it is also true that sustainable development of any organization cannot bloom to its full potential if it is left assorted to NGOs, or to the government, or to management alone. It is where a Trade Union works as the organized work force in the technical and public domain. A trade union at the same time can work as the true bargaining unit for the benefit of the workers and also as the representative platform of the organization in the public domain.
Vision
The only way to democratize the work environment of ONGC is the wholehearted participation of everybody from a E1 level Officer to a topnotch corporate official in ONGC Officers Association, as it is the only Trade union on behalf of the executives of ONGC.
In this context all the executives and also ONGC management is also required to support ONGC Officers Association to unleash the power of its thousands of workers and a strong leadership which can bargain inside the organization for the workers and outside the organization for the organization itself.
